Try the Moodle Mobile app with a mobile-friendly course

The latest version of the Moodle Mobile app is out now, available on Google Play and App Store, via With each new version, learners and teachers are able to do more directly within the app.  x If you’d like to explore the new features and improvements in the recently released Moodle Mobile 3.2.1, how about logging into our School demo site, Mount Orange with the username: student and password: moodle and check out a new course, Digital Literacy, designed by our Community Educator Mary Cooch, with advice from Moodle Mobile lead developer Juan Leyva.

Google Summer of Code 2018 statistics part 1

Since 2005, Google Summer of Code (GSoC) has been bringing new developers into the open source community every year. This year we accepted 1,264 students from 62 countries into the 2018 GSoC program to work with a record 206 open source organizations this summer. Students are currently participating in the Community Bonding phase of the program where they become familiar with the open source projects they will be working with. They also spend time learning the codebase and the community’s best practices so they can start their 12 week coding projects on May 14th.

Moodle Mobile course design At the recent MoodleMoot UK & Ireland 2017 (10 – 12 April) in London, our Moodle Mobile Team Leader, Juan Leyva, talked about seven tips for mobile course design. We have been concentrating a lot on Moodle mobile lately and with over 70% of global internet traffic coming through mobile, it is definitely something that is important on our roadmap.
